Since then she began participating in the SmackDown Main event and WWE's other shows. Total Divas was formed in September of 2013 when she took home the tag-team match 7-on-7 with True Divas. Mendes defeated her in that match. She won her title of Divas Champion in February's Elimination Chamber in which she beat AJ Lee. The next week, she faced another match against Lee however she was unable to keep the title. Ariana was then able to compete against Lee and also brought her home the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational. On July 14, 2014, Nikki Bella took part in a handicap contest as Summer Rae Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae. Ariana only was there to face Nikki Bella. After the show, during the Battleground's pre-show, she was given a chance to take on Naomi. Ariana was victorious. As a consequence, they started competing.
